The Power of a Positive Environment

​A positive mind truly changes everything. Our thoughts can either make us or break us.

Moving to Utah has been an incredible blessing. In such a short period of time, I’ve accomplished so much and have had the privilege of meeting amazing people along the way.

Experiencing genuine love, kindness, and encouragement has been restoring my faith in humanity. It’s also been opening my heart again. For the past five years, I had become so closed off, but this new chapter has reminded me that healing is possible.

The business community here has been incredibly supportive, welcoming, and united. Seeing people smile, laugh, and genuinely enjoy their lives has shown me just how deeply our environment influences our mindset, our growth, and our well-being.

Above all, I thank my wonderful God for carrying me through every doubt and every fear. His faithfulness has brought me to a place of hope and new beginnings.

This is the beginning of a beautiful journey, and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead. 🙏🏽✨

Hating On Unwanted Circumstances

​ Who in their right mind and with an understanding heart could hate anyone who's enduring tremendous circumstances? When we think about immigrants and how they benefit in the United States, it angers many struggling Americans. But if we take the time to reflect and think about the full surrounding circumstances that immigrants are enduring, we may become compassionate instead of angry and hateful. Let's unpack this: who would want to come to a country to work unlikable jobs that don't pay a living wage, while learning the language of the land and living in undesirable circumstances? Living with eight people in one room is not the Marriott. Imagine working 12-14 hours a day, only to go home to an environment where everyone has feelings. It's exhausting in every way, from physical labor to human emotions, while enduring hatred from a country that promotes freedom. The Restorative Games

At football, baseball, and basketball games, God was restoring us—both individually and in our relationship. He was healing us while we simply lived our daily lives. In the background, God was doing what only He can do: changing us at the root, replacing despair, regret, shame, and destruction with something new. Looking back on His work in our lives gives me hope for what He can do in our nation and in the lives of others—if we are willing to change. Change isn't easy, and I'll never pretend it is.
